Antrim’s Castle Mall shopping complex will sponsor the Thursday afternoon Supertwins race at the 2019 fonaCAB Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod on August 8.

The new sponsorship deal will also see some of the top road racers in the world visit the shopping centre on Monday August 5 for a special Meet the Riders day, open to all of the centre’s customers. The event, which will start at 12pm, will be broadcast by Q Radio’s street crew.

“Castle Mall is delighted to be a sponsor of the Ulster Grand Prix, one of the world’s leading international road races and an outstanding spectator event.” Pamela Minford, Castle Mall Centre Manager.

“We also have a family friendly event planned with Q Radio that includes trophy and flag making, face painting and the chance to meet some of the world’s fastest road racers during UGP Bike Week. Everyone will have the chance to win paddock and race passes for the week of action at Dundrod and we hope everyone will come along to say hello on the day.”

“It is always a great privilege to welcome a new race sponsor to the Ulster Grand Prix and we are delighted to have yet another local business with Antrim’s Castle Mall joining us for 2019.” UGP Clerk of the Course, Noel Johnston said.

“The race organisers try to involve the event and the fantastic road racers we have with us each year in local community activities. The Meet the Riders event at Castle Mall offers a great opportunity for families to have a chat and some fun with their favourite motorcycle racing stars.”
