Gordon’s Dad and owner , a keen motorcycle rider back in his day with his brother Frank was one of the early members of the UGP Supporters Club , progressing to chairman in the late 70’s and early 80,s. Like so many he sold programmes and badges for 20 years at and at all the major race meetings around country to boost funds for each years race.

Gordon , himself was a motocross rider for 33 years  (racing along with Noel Johnston’s son Simon before old injuries forced him to retire, and again like his Dad went on to sell programmes every year at Leathemstown corner, before moving on to help out with riders such as Alan Patterson and James Courtney.

Last year saw Topaz’s first meet and greet with the riders on the Friday of race week, with close on a dozen riders all of different nationalities and various classes were represented. This year will be no different as the punters get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the stars of the circuit at the Topaz Airport Road Service Station – kick –off 11am.
