We had our final launch last week hosted by our partners, Lisburn City Council. The evening was a real success and everyone had a great time. Each rider in attendance talked about their favourite part of the Dundrod course and what makes it so special to them.
At the launch, all our sponsors were thanked including the Ulster Grand Prix Supporters Club who are celebrating 50 years backing the Ulster. Over the years, they have donated close to £1 million pounds to the event, which is a tremendous achievement from a small group of race enthusiasts.
Lisburn City Council, and in particular Leisure Services, have been instrumental in guiding the Dundrod Club in the right direction in preparing to host this international event.
Lidl Northern Ireland, another of our partners has bought a new Honda 125 painted in the repsol colours. They will be raffling this off from Wednesday through to race day on Saturday. Tickets are £5 per ticket with 100% of the proceeds going to Cancer Focus NI, so you could be riding a new bike home after the races all for a great cause, courtesy of our friends at Belfast Honda.
Race programmes and wristbands are now on sale at all Lidl stores across NI and they are also available to purchase at Topaz Airport Road service station, who are sponsors of the Dundrod 150 races.
There is so much to write about now with preparation in full flight as all pieces of the Metzler Ulster Grand Prix fall into place with less than a week until it all kicks off!
As most of you already know, the Britten is making a guest appearance this year and with Dundrod favourite Bruce Anstey onboard, the kiwi partnership will be music to our ears as it makes its way down the flying kilo.
