Ray Connolly has been an avid follower of the UGP since a boy of 10 years old, and recalls watching the last two meetings 1951/1952 when the UGP was then held at Clady and the famous 7 mile straight.
Having joined the UGP supporters club of which he still is a member, he can boast that he hasn’t missed an UGP meeting since its move to the now famous Dundrod circuit. Ray recalls Famous riders he seen throughout the years such as Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini, but in his eyes the best of the best was local boy -the great Joey Dunlop. Ray now runs with his son an Auto Valet and MOT, Vehicle and recovery business at Tornaroy Road, Dunmurry.
