The countdown is on to the 2014 Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix

Keep ‘er Lit – 17.06.14

With the North West 200 and TT done and dusted, preparations are well under way for the final International road race of the year.

The name on everyone lips at the moment is Michael Dunlop, who having emerged onto the road racing scene as an impetuous teenager, has undoubtedly established himself as a road racing great with no less than 11 TT’s to his name.

MD will be made very welcome by all the road race fans when he arrives at Dundrod in August.

A lot of riders impressed me at the TT, and it’s now my job to attract them to Dundrod. One that particularly caught my eye was Peter Hickman, who in the final lap of the Senior race became the fastest newcomer ever. I know Peter will go very well around Dundrod, but with a performance like that he has created a lot of interest from other teams and there is now even talk of a return to the BSB paddock.

All will be revealed here in Keep ‘er Lit in the coming weeks along with regular updates as the entries come in, but I can guarantee that we will once again have a great line up of the World’s best road racers.

Make sure you put the 1st of July in your diary too, as there’s a free ‘meet the riders’ session at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Belfast. Come along and get up close and personal with top riders. It’s not to be missed so email ulstergrandprix@mail.com to register your place.
