Keep ‘er Lit 27.06.17

It’s hard to believe we are already in the run up in to Armoy and the MCE Ulster Grand Prix, the racing season has just flown in so quick.

We had our launch yesterday at Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s headquarters, Lagan Valley Island followed by our ‘meet the riders’ event at the Charles Hurst BMW Motorrad showroom in Belfast.

Charles Hurst has come on board as an overall event partner and official vehicle supplier with their brands Lexus and Charles Hurst Van Centre.  Charles Hurst Motorcycles are also the title sponsor of the Dundrod 150 races on Thursday 10th August, a great appetiser for our main event on Saturday 12th and I look forward to working with this long established local company.

With just over two weeks to go until our entries close, it is looking like we are going to have record grids.

As we go to print our 2016 man of the meeting Ian Hutchinson remains very unlikely to make the grid on 12th August, but if anyone can it’s him and we wish him well in his recovery process, as well as Lee Johnston who is also battling to be fit for Dundrod.

That aside we promise to have an excellent race line up that will have race fans sitting on the edges of their seats and with the inclement weather during race week at the TT, we still hold the “worlds fastest road race” record set by Hutchy last year on the last lap of the 2nd Superbike race at 134:089mph.

Over the coming weeks in the build up to the race I plan to whet your appetite for what’s happening and who is coming to this great spectacle at Dundrod, so watch this space.
