The Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix is pleased to announce that Barron Transport Services will once again sponsor the Supersport 600 Race in 2015.
Our transport business was founded back in 1970 by Billy Barron and provides a very diverse range of services throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe. The services we provide include specialist furniture deliveries, airfreight trunking, courier deliveries and general haulage. We also provide vehicle hire, vehicle repairs and warehousing from our headquarters close to Belfast International Airport and within close proximity to the Dundrod Race Circuit.
Billy Barron, founder of Barron Transport Services said: “The Ulster Grand Prix is part of Northern Ireland history and has been running since 1922 at Clady and over the years it has grown to be one of the last remaining “great” road races in the world along with the TT and Macau.
“The Ulster Grand Prix means a lot to our family as the race track ran past our house when we were growing up, fuelling my interest in motorbikes. In later life I competed myself in the Classic Races on a 350 Honda and eventually went on to being Team Principal of our own Superbike Racing Team known as BTS Racing.”
Barron Transport Services is a family run business with a focus on customer service being our main priority. The business has expanded over the years and now has a fleet of over 40 vehicles varying from 3.5 tons to 44 tons and 60 trailers including 10 vehicles that are specially equipped for air cargo transportation.
As part of our portfolio, the company has recently invested in a 5.5 acre industrial site on the outskirts of Antrim town and includes 8,000sq.ft. of office space and 40,000sq.ft. of warehousing, all within a secure yard.
Barron Transport Services would like to wish all the competitors, spectators and organisers a safe, enjoyable and successful Bike Week.
